Sikkim Police Recruitment 2018 – 342 Constable Posts
Applications in prescribed format along with 2 passport size photographs are invited from eligible male and female candidates to fill up (a) 270 posts of GD Constables in Armed Battalions, (b) 60 posts of Women Constables, (c) 12 posts of Constables (Technical) in Communication Branch in the pay band of Rs 5200- 20200 plus grade pay of Rs 2400 and other allowances as admissible under the rules in Sikkim Police. However, during the period of probation/Apprenticeship/Training, pay shall be governed by Notification No.459/GEN/DOP Dated 31/10/2011.
AGE LIMIT
Not less than 18 years and not more than 22 years as on 1st February, 2018.
AGE RELAXATION: In addition to the age prescribed above the candidates will be given relaxation of 5 yrs. for BL/ST/SC/Primitive Tribe, 4 yrs. for OBC(CL) and 3 yrs. for OBC(SL). Upper age limit for HG candidates are 32 yrs. for BL/ST/SC/Primitive Tribe, 31 yrs. for OBC(CL) and 30 yrs. for OBC(SL).
EDUCATION QUALIFICATION
Minimum class X passed from recognized Board for open candidates as well as for HG candidates.
For GD constable Minimum class XII passed in PCM.
SELECTION PROCESS
(a) Physical Measurement,
(b) Physical Efficiency/Endurance Test (PET),
(c) Written Examination &
(d) Viva-voce.
APPLICATION FEES
PRESCRIBED APPLICATION FORMS are available from 29/01/2018 and can be obtained from the office of the Deputy Inspector General of Police/Special Branch, Tadong, Gangtok and the office of District SsP (North/South/West) on working days till 28th February, 2018 on production of Bank (SBS) Receipt for Rs. 70/= under revenue head 0055-Police-800 other receipts. The candidates must fill in application form with his/her own handwriting and affix his/her signature.
HOW TO APPLY
Eligible candidates can send their application along with Sikkim Subject/ COI, Valid local employment card, BL/ ST/ SC/ OBC/ BPL Certificate, Educational qualification certificate/ mark sheet, Birth certificate, NOC, 2 passport size photographs to the office of the Deputy Inspector General of Police/ Special Branch, Tadong, Gangtok and the office of District SsP (North/ South/ West) on or before 28-02-2018.
